I thought about it, and not for me. I prefer a 35mm prime over a 24-70 zoom for 'normal' FOV type shooting.

I'm much more interested in an UWA zoom. That laowa zoom is what's piquing my interest the most right now.

35/85 for life. on 2 bodies of course. on my next wedding, i was thinking of renting the 70-200GM but it's expensive so I'm planning to just use what I have(35/85), my second shooter will take care of the candid or reaction shots anyway.

But still enjoy a 50 for birthdays. And travel portraits. Just how I like it.

Had a 135L for a long time and shot a ton with it. Always felt it was too long or too short. I settled for 85/200 and also a 35. That’s my trio.

I can't comment on gear desires...... Sometimes I'm happy, other times I wonder & think too much......

Still disappointed with this Sigma FE outcome really.

It was a let down...and maybe I missed it somehow..is the new Tamron a true FE mount new design...or like the Sigma lenses...

I couldn't honestly tell you..... I don't know.

I'm reasonably happy with the cheapo SEL28-70mm & if I did replace it, I think it would be the FE24-105mm for that extra landscape reach....... Or I buy a FE70-200mm...... I don't need a fast aperture for that use. I don't think the 70-200mm would get that much use though for the local places we visit......

I have the FE85/1.8 for fast with some reach...... That's going nowhere!

The FE35/2.8 doesn't have enough separation in most instances especially forest/woodland shots. The Voigtlander 40/1.4 is lovely for it, but if I do focus stack, it 'focus breathes' <--- is that the right term?? A 35mm f/2 that's sharp wide open like the 85mm would be perfect!!

Yes completely new design dedicated just for the E Mount.

Mine has been on pre-order for awhile now

if it weren't for the weight, the 35, 85, 200 is my preferred combo. Weight is an issue, so I make sure with 28, 50, 135. Going to simplify even further, 28-75, 135 for event shooting.

For anything else, I just wing it with whatever gear I've got

Every time I pull the camera out is an event. Might as well pull out the big guns

I've been using the 16-35 f/2.8mk2 alot with the Sony A7iii. The combo actually works quite well with good light.

So far I've documented my youngest daughter's field trip and middle daughter's bday. The sharpness I'm achieving is actually more than I want. I've owned the 16-35 f/4IS and found it to be sharper than the f/2.8 mk2. At this moment I'm getting more than enough tack sharp images that I'm actually dumbing down the sharpness but reducing sharpness in post to remove the sony digital look.

Say sports, sure. Dance, sure. Birthdays, dinners, celebrations, no way would the 200 come along. Sometimes, I can even wing a 135, but more often than not, it stays home. I’m not about all that hassle, I want to have a good time.
