I have a wedding coming up in a few weeks. Family. They wanted me to shoot the wedding but wanted me to do it free. It's in Indiana. I'm in texas. I make the trip once a year and this year I'm planning around them. I respectfully declined.

Most likely I could have the tamron 28-75 by then. I'll use it and the R3 to capture some snapshots during the wedding. Nothing major. I just wanna have fun.

I want the 28-75 for similar reasons. Sometimes I want more than just 35, however, it'll be tough to use anything other than the 35 for incidental stuff, it's just so small and handy.

Well the fact that Sigma and Tamron are on board now making E mount lenses is going to be a epic for the Sony system. They will create alternative glass and still be the "3rd party price range". I'm mostly a 3rd party glass type of guy. I have zero issues with either company. I look forward to the future.

Just think about the tamron 35 1.8 VC in E mount but modified design to be smaller/lighter. This would be a nice lens that would offer something currently not available. Who knows... Tamron may elect to just release a 35mm 1.8 without VC to help keep the size small since sony does offer IBIS. If they offered a 35 1.8 in the same size format as the current 35 2.8 this would be one hot seller.

yep, I hope they really step into the market...they have been releasing a lot of nice lenses for Canikon lately...

one can hope, but I doubt they can keep it that size, should be a little wider and a tad longer. Voigtlander already makes something like that, the 1.7, and voigtlander is known to make small lenses, and it's a bit bigger, too big for me personally, to switch over. The loxia is also similar size if I'm not mistaken.

The voigtlander 35 f1.4 E mount is seriously small though, but I'm not a fan of that type of optic, swirly + harsh bokeh.

The lox 35 f2 for illustration, cant imagine tamron making something smaller with AF! I do have a bag for bigger sizes, but I try to resist using it as much as possible. My slightly bigger bag fits lenses varying from 50 f1.8 to 85 1.8, and no bigger. then my biggest holster will do 24-240/28-75, and no bigger. I do like the idea of being able to pick between 28/50 and 35/85 combo on a whim, so I'll definitely get the 35 f2 if it can fit in my midsized bag, otherwise, I wont bother. I gotta self regulate myself, otherwise I get into the situation of overloading, and I really hate doing that to myself.

I got to check out Detroit's 2017 first-round draft pick, pitcher Alex Faedo, on Friday. He got lit up like a pinball machine, and only lasted two innings, but it was cool having front-row seats just to the left of home plate to set up and shoot. Gotta love minor league baseball.

The AF on the 200 HS is spotty, but for this purpose it was good enough. I also shot my dad's a6000/55-210 combo in JPEG, and while nobody will confuse that setup for a must-have sports shooting combo, it is pretty sweet for the price point. Shooting in RAW with DXO PL noise reduction would have made a great deal of this noise dissolve.

does the a9 have a super fast "focus first frame" only using elc shutter? my olympus has a mode thats 60fps full raw but only focus on the first frame. its handy some times, i have used it a few time, a bit over kill and u have lots of images to cull haha

GS not that I know of. It is limited to 20fps but will perform complete AF-C for each of those frames.

The Sigma 16/1.4 came in a few min's ago. Poof will love it. I think I will too.
