Wow, that would be so fantastic. They must all be great musicians, just to cover Led Zeppelin is a feat in itself. John Paul Jones the bass player was one of the best as well as John Bohnam, keeping up with those two is tough let alone the vocals of Robert Plant or the leads of Jimmy Page. I travel to Reno quite often, going there to shoot Beats Antique tomorrow. I would love the opportunity to see this band...

Great color saturation and sharpness. You must have had a lot of light to work with.

Thanks. The lights were pretty good, the fog machine added a nice effect to the lights. Most were at ISO 4000 which is not bad. Here are a couple more. Dr. J giving me the eye (he's my buddy and the one that asked me to photograph the show...) Here's an album on my photo page https://www.facebook.com …album_id=2095150794101383 (external link)

If you're interested in what they sound like, listen here:

http://thestringassassins.com/ (external link) They have some Soundcloud stuff. Not sure if Paddy, their current violinist is on these. He is truly exceptional. One of my favorites of theirs is their unique cover of "Breathe/Time" from Dark Side of The Moon. They give it a really fantastic, bluegassy spin during the breakdown section. All acoustic instruments with some effects pedals.

Great shots, nice looking venue! How come I've never heard of it before now? Where have I been? Lol

Sorry I missed the Lyric show for In the Light... Got hired to shoot a band at the CC Casino that night. I'll keep my eye on their calendar.

Sorry you didn't make it. The above venue is in Lake Park and has a lot of events. Flexible seating, so it can be open floor, or bar tables or traditional folding chairs or some combination. There is a brewhouse next door (same owners) that also has live music frequently, I play there with a band once a month. We're playing this Sunday at 6 PM.

Watch for another ITL show in the area, not sure when the next one is.

Thank you very much for the links Ed. Do they let you in the light booth to get the overhead shots? I particularly found the Going to California track quite special, yes that fiddle player is excellent! These guys are exceptional musicians for sure... They remind me of a group I follow called Poor Mans Whiskey that does a whole set called Dark Side of the Moonshine in a bluegrass theme, also superb musicians. Click Here (external link)

Great stuff. Yes I went to the light/sound booth for the overheads. The owner gives me the run of the place. Except one section on stage right where the power/amps are, the sound guy doesn't let anyone there.

I will check out Poor Man's Whiskey for sure. And the Moonshiners!

It's the genre she classes her and the band as :) She's not Bluegrass in the trad way, so I guess they had to come up with something
