And of course these are back: Barn Swallows!
They were a bit too high up when I was there, so I made a composite of four consecutive shots of the same bird. :-P

It did in fact fit. He hovered over the nest like a CH-47 Chinook and lowered it down next to his mate, laying it across the top, then landed and mashed the huge thing into place with his talons. Fascinating to watch!
