The Boreal is scarce around here, I have to go a little farther north to find them easily. This passed winter my camera was not working correctly so I made way fewer trips even outside here at home. Maybe I need to rectify that.

Got to love these cardinals. When I was last in Canada I found these rather shy and I never did get a really good snap of one. Don't know whether they're always like that.

They're definitely skittish!
I'm lucky enough to be able to set up the feeding station (outdoor studio) only 10-15 feet away from my bathroom window.
As long as I have the window open and screen off (not ideal during mosquito season) I can get some good shots...

I dont know why ... but a little leaves and branches. The leaves are only just starting to emerge on some tree's here. after a long grey winter.
