That just goes to show you that it's not the age of the camera that matters, it's the person behind it

Are you saying Scott is old?......

Quiet, how can I justify buying new gear when you say things like that? :p

Anybody interested in meeting up next Wednesday for this?

I'm thinking of staying in the city after work for the 6pm show.

While I remember, about this, what did you have in mind? If you have a building with a carpark to view from I could be a starter as long as I don't have to walk and stand for too long. Walking is limited to 5 or maybe 10 paces without walking frame and oxy bottle. :(

I don't have any parking unfortunately. If the weather is ok I will walk from work to the viaduct, which is on the way to the ferry terminal.

as for software, check out Acdsee. Their software is quite good.

I did and man, ACDSee is one serious piece of kit. I have bought it, it was on sale and only 26 bucks more than Luminar, which, um... I have also bought. Obviously this combination of camera, lenses, computer and software is gunna make me a much better photographer.:-P

Nah, your sensor is way to small for you to be a good photographer now

I found this software for some reason made these pics a little blotchy on the top half.

Thanks Tag, but that sunset series was taken on a Canon400D with kit and much maligned 18-55 lens. I do admit I did enjoy that camera and it is now serving a young schoolboy whom I donated it to. He is getting an equal amount of joy and success from it. :)

I really like that one - just a suggestion, see what you think it looks like with either: the seagull cropped off the top, or: the people cropped off the bottom.

Scott will be along shortly to comment on the horizon ;-)a

some fairly old canon camera stuff, canon lenses, Manfrotto "thingy", 1D MK II converted for IR, and now an M5
