A7 - Voigtlander 40/1.4

I want to give this lens a test with the 35/2.8 over the weekend.

The above shot was probably f/2

The 40mm is obviously f/1.4 but it's a bit iffy (unless close distance) & the corners are 'crap' & it's best used at f/2 or smaller for sharpness but, it does have some character & look to it. Which brings me to the thought that if I shoot it at f/2-2.8 had I may as well just use the FE35 wide open....?!?

40mm at 1.4, 2 & 2.8 & the 35mm at 2.8 should do it ;)

For Travis :)

This was my project at 0300 last night.
Poof brought home this specimen. It was moribund upon arriving and soon passed
before I could get the macro set up up and running.....so I didn't kill this creature
but did try to immortalize him.

A7Riii + Venus 60mm macro.
This shot at 2:1
40 images stacked in Zerene.

Alfredo thanks. As soon as I saw your B/W image I thought of early Perry Mason shows! To me the same feel. Loved that show.

Challenging shoot.

My buds did a wall here in Phoenix and I had to try to shoot it........ but there was a fence in the way. Best I could do (forgot to bring the cv10) was to shoot vertical thru the fence and pano stitch in LR 7 images

Now all you need is a little fog and someone wearing a trenchcoat and hat smoking a cigarette under a lamp post. :-)

I think I'd try to desaturate the sky a bit so it doesn't compete for equal attention of the mural so much

I asked this before and can’t remember (or find) the answer in this thread so I’ll ask again.

Since SR app works on the a7r is there any reason why that body wouldn’t make a good tripod landscape camera for wide angle lenses?

I’m struggling to justify to myself keeping the a7rii just for the app so thought that might be a nice landscape option

The AF was really slow if you use it for landscape images. The files were great, just slightly smaller. The EVF didnt seem as good as the r2, but it's been a long time since I shot with one.

The EVF was considerably better on the R1. It's a great camera for wide angles, however even at 55 I can notice shutter slap.

Also the lens mount may need replacement, so keep that in mind.

I'm going to be really busy with the learning as I receive an a7riii on Monday plus still getting familiar with the RX10 IV. I have sold my Canon 500 f4 and will order a 100-400 next week upon completion of that sale. New adventures coming.
