Here's a tree branch in flight :-).
The Hawk was sharpening Its hunting skills.
It was tossing the branch into the air and pouncing on the unsuspecting stick.

Those are great images. I've never before seen raptors do that. How cool is that to witness!

Nicely done Paul! I photographed a Red-tailed Hawk doing the same thing a few years ago. Toss it in the air and then pounce on it. :-) Here's s a shot from that day.

The young red-tailed hawk is starting to get pretty good with his "training stick." :-D That's an excellent shot.
