For whatever reason, my last few acquisitions have been quartz:
I liked the mechanicals too until growing tired of the wind and rest orientation to keep them within some accuracy. The Casios are great, no worries about winding and with enough sun they remain charged. Each night they sync up and are reliable. That Mudman is

At this time, I'm still OK with messing with mechanicals, keeping them wound and on time. I rotate a couple of Breitlings during the week and another on the weekend so the quartz watches rarely get worn.
