Martin Nature Park is a park dedicated to preserving the landscape of central Oklahoma before development. It's on what was once the NW edge of Oklahoma City but now is surrounded by commercial and residential developments, but it remains a refuge for local wildlife and a great place to visit. Early morning walks on the hiking trails are met by plenty of wildlife and a good deal of very peaceful scenery. So here is the park in full summer dress from earlier this week. Spring was short this year. I was really interested in photographing wildlife so both were made with the Canon 70-300L on a 7DII (hand held), the only lens I brought with me. The second one with the dappled light is an interesting processing challenge. I hope it effectively shows the peaceful wildness of the creek - past efforts like this have not been as successful as I would like and I'm still a little undecided about this one.
