The PC locomotive is part of Norfolk Southern's "Heritage" fleet. They have modern diesels painted for all their parent roads, including the NYC (SD70ACE #1066). Union Pacific does the same.

Thank you!

I just posted a new thread about this in the TALK section.

I hope someday to be able to see both PC and NYC engines. That would be soo cool!!

What is the "Heritage" fleet?

P.S. My father was a railroader, but there is a LOT I have no clue about the rail roads.

Did they have Heritage fleets back when my father was a railroader.... roughly 1940 to 1975
I do not know what year he started for sure, I do know what year he retired.

What he said! :-)

Although I am more familiar with the UP units out here on the west coast. Here is an example of UP heritage unit painted for the C&NW.
