Here's another of Dad's olf cameras:

I don't think I be running a film through this as I have my Canon AE-1 to play with.

Lawrence

I graduated from an Instamatic to my dad's very similar Nova, also with the Meyer Domiplan 50mm ƒ/2.8 around 1974 or 75. At the time he had a Gossen lightmeter with it. I even remember the old flash gun, I think the one dad had may of been the same model. As well as letting me use the camera he acquired an old Johnsons Wray Gnome enlarger from a friend of his and I had to learn to D&P myself too. I have some great memories doing different but interesting stuff with my dad, and from what my kids say I seem to have managed to carry that philosophy on with them.

Thanks for stirring the memory.

Alan

Konica EU-mini. It has a wide angle lens of 28mm and probably a fixed aperture of f8
It seems like an easy to use camera, but after the film test I found out that many shots were blurred due to camera movement and the frame edges are very soft.

Since people are now posting sample shots from the subjects, here's another picture of my Vivitar and an image captured with it from college in the '70s:

My first has a shutter that is not opening. Tried some ligther fluid it worked a bit but then refused to open.
Found a second one for 4 euros. Worked fine, but after some time spent in by backpacked the lights are not on, perhaps damaged circuitry.

Is there a place aside from Ebay where I can get new seals for this thing?

IMAGE: https://c2.staticflickr.com/2/1750/42003167304_68b3205dbe_b.jpg

It's good when there's no harsh light, but in bright sun, it's real bad. Lol.

I had been looking to replace this camera with something different, but I guess I don't really have a reason to do so. Looking through some of my albums, I'm pretty happy with some of the images I've gotten.
I still need to replace the seals, however.
