A couple random shots at a local quarry...A couple hour dive and these were just random shots...Next weekend is an exciting shoot on a wooden schooner that sank in 1891 and is on the bottom of Lake Michigan.

Having fun with my new MP-E 65 lens and MT-26EX flash. This was handheld, but I think I'll be using a tripod quite a bit with this lens.

How did you persuade him to pose? :)

Good shot!

At first I thought it was due to the cool morning today, but now I think the bee is in poor health. It's still on the rock where I took the photo, although it has moved several inches. Now that I'll be spending time in the insect world, I have to do some work to better understand their habits.

It's looking like Seattle will get an expansion hockey team in the next year or two. I hope our team will do as well in their first year as the Knights did in theirs. It's been fun to watch Vegas this year. Just three more wins...

Put some sugary water near it then come back in 30 minutes to see if it’s still. Could just be worn out.

I went out to do that, but the bee is gone.
