Very cool!!!

I like the way the plastic forks look almost metallic, very cool.

Shot with an Olympus Stylus Zoom 80 Wide that I tried out and fell in love with. FujiColor 200 film.

Okay, this one is kinda lame. Plastic was sort of an afterthought for me so I just sorta grabbed a shot of a plasticky barrel in a pile of metal ones and called it good. Or at least good enough lol.

Oh, glass I enjoyed. A little too much probably. I bought some roses for my wife last month on our anniversary and about a month later they were dying and so beautiful. Glass, paper, wood ... all are going to be of these roses. I took tons of photos with a bunch of different cameras and will narrow it down to a few of my favorites ...

I won't get plastic, may get paper tonight if I'm up to it. Allergies and near-record heat with no A/C has sort of beat down the inspiration.

Do you actually go out and look for expired film? I've noticed a lot of your images are expired film and older cameras.

I don't necessarily seek out expired film, but I do seek out bargain prices and the two sort of go hand-in-hand. And as you've noticed I have a bit of a film camera habit, so I try to cut expenses wherever I can -- by buying film as cheap as possible, developing it at home, reselling a lot of the cameras after I have a play with them. I have a bunch of film cameras that I absolutely love and will never part with (particularly the ones that were given to me by my dad), but I love to try ones I haven't used before so I'll buy them cheap at thrift stores or wherever and then sell them to someone else when I've had my fill. So I use a LOT of film. For example, I shot four rolls today and I wasn't even after anything in particular. When I see it for cheap, expired or not, I jump all over it lol.

Yes, Don. I'm scheduled to have it replaced, but as you can imagine it's the worst time of year to need that kind of work. Forecast for Sunday is 108. The only thing that saves my sanity is that humidity is also super low... you can feel the moisture being sucked right out of you LOL That's when you get excited about the prospect of going to a store to cool off for a while. Which is part of why I went to the Hobby Lobby the other day, and also to get something new to learn.
