I believe this is a Northern Mockingbird but I've never seen one with this brown color.

A few moody hummer photos from today. Overcast with hit and miss rain storms left me at a shutter speed of 1/250th second for the first shot. The evening clouds did part for a moment of golden light that saw me push 1/500th second for the second shot.

Maureen...Very cool mockingbird shot...nice and sharp. Those red berries add a real colorful touch. By the way, it's their job to harass dogs and cats. Mockingbirds are highly protective of their nests. They will dive bomb anything they perceive as a threat.

That is a super nice shot Shorty. The brown thornbill appears very tiny...can't be much bigger than a hummingbird.
