All remarkably nice shots Bill. I have seen raptors, and other birds stand on one foot many times. It appears as though they only have one leg (but they have two). However, David mentioned that it was a one legged owl, so I'm assuming that he actually knew that for a fact.


This guy looks like a one legged snowy, but he's not.

Every once in a "blue moon" I run across a bird that is one legged or missing part of a leg like this ol' Great Blue.

Gotcha. I missed that part so maybe it is missing it. I did get a banded piping plover with a missing foot once. Leg is a bit deformed/swollen. I did get the info on the tag as well.
