They are they only member of their genus and it shows; they don't look much like other sparrows, IMO. Anyway, congratulations on a good bird. Al

We were rolling along and watching it move from post to post and the conversation was (me): "Can you tell what it is?", (her) "I think it's a sparrow of some sort.", (me) "it seems small and sort of moves like a Lark...maybe a Horned Lark?" til we finally got eyes on it through lenses Will in Tejas wrote in post #18639549 ![]() Nice and congrats getting one up off the ground.
