1 from yesterday in Joliet. Forced myself to use slower shutter than I was comfortable with as well as have a large amount of the subject in the viewfinder. The combination lead to a horrible keeper rate. Only a small handful. Of those this was really the only good one. But I guess that's how you improve.
Hard acceleration or braking made accurate panning much more difficult for me, I also liked to go to the end of the strip and get good blur there where the speeds were higher. I would set a certain amount of shots I would play with and the rest I would use a more conservative shutter speed. I have not been to a drag race since Terry Vance was racing himself so the bikes are much faster now.
