This is a 100% crop but I love the colors on the little Kestrel. Makes up for a bit of decreased quality. :)

The nest is only a few meters from the shoreline with one egg to go.
Once i set down and observe this Grebe something magical happend two blue herons flew past me at a few feet distance took a turn and landed a few meters
in front of me, than a common tern snatched a big fish in front of me and a other Grebe flew also close past by me. Than a big red Hover fly checked me out right in front of me (eye to eye contact)
Man Nature can be so beautiful once you take notice and adapt.

Great shots. I especially like the tern with his lunker for dinner.

Very nice picturesque shot of the great blue. I like the fact that you included much of the environment around the bird.

I had to time the snap for when the wind lifted the leaves enough to see the whole bird.

I usually like to shoot the birds at their eye level but this little Coot was in the canal (with his family) but came so close that I couldn't not shoot him. And looking at the shot on the big computer screen I decided I liked the setting and tone too much to not process it.

Very nicely done shot. I think it was an excellent idea to process the surroundings along with the young coot. It certainly improves the overall appearance of the photo.
