1 from yesterday in Joliet. Forced myself to use slower shutter than I was comfortable with as well as have a large amount of the subject in the viewfinder. The combination lead to a horrible keeper rate. Only a small handful. Of those this was really the only good one. But I guess that's how you improve.

Hard acceleration or braking made accurate panning much more difficult for me, I also liked to go to the end of the strip and get good blur there where the speeds were higher. I would set a certain amount of shots I would play with and the rest I would use a more conservative shutter speed. I have not been to a drag race since Terry Vance was racing himself so the bikes are much faster now.

I took some as far down as the grandstands would allow. I was at the start line to pan with prostock burnouts. All fails. The bikes burnout bnb isn't worth the shutter clicks to me. But I do agree sudden speed changes make things more difficult.

I want to die peacefully, in my sleep, like my grandfather.
Not screaming, terrified, like his passengers.

A couple from a regional race weekend this RS3LMS car runs in a national series - Canadian Touring Car.
Audi Canada/Audi Sport requested some pics, said they wanted to use them on IG/FB and their racing newsletter.... will see if they pop up there soon.

Awesome. In today's climate, that is both a surprise and a relief.
