Outstanding images. I especially like the second shot of the puffin with his beak full of fish.

House Martins. They were too far away for anything good, plus I only had my 300mm with me, but then saw the shot on the computer screen and thought it was rather cool. :-P
Huge crop, hence 1280px and not 1600px on the long end.

That Swallow is particularly good. They are so difficult to capture crisply.

I am especially captivated by your first photo of the barn swallow. They are truly uncooperative when it come to getting an in flight shot. Very nice work!!

OOps...my bad...sorry. I thought it was a red tail (Buteo jamaicensis) . I see red-tailed hawks daily over here. They look so much like your European Buzzard.

No worries mike they are similar in some respects, I see far more buzzards that red tails - on one occasion there was about six buzzards flying around high up together, it was quite a sight.

Thank you all very much for the kind words.

By the way, a House Martin is part of the swallow family too. Their names in Dutch reflect that nicely as they're called Boerenzwaluw and Huiszwaluw resp. Just thought I'd mention it. :-P
