Nice and vivid. It has been a while since I have been to a show. I have to find a way to get to one. The last few local ones where to Snowbirds were performing the spectators were in the North side of the field so I was shooting into the sun.

I have not been around much, catching up on old posts....
I very much like this photo.

Nit pick, but something to try would be a slightly different crop removing some of the deadspace at the bottom. I would lop off from your signature down and see what I mean, it will refocus your eye on more of the expansiveness.!

Im surprised this came out as well as it did, I took this sitting in the car at emu point which is a local swimming area in my town, big 600mm lens but it is almost 1 and a half kilometres out to the the small island and I cropped the photo in a fair bit. Obviously a pelican nesting ground or just their favourite place. I dont think I would have got as good a shot with my full frame. it is winter here and it was overcast for the most part but the sun came over the Island for a very short time so I took the shot

I'm not so sure Guy, there is nothing of hi interest in the back ground and the image looks flat to me in the second crop. I like the first, more well rounded image, better. and I'm the guy cropping in to much these days.

Joe...Both are beautiful shots, and it's kind of a tough call, but I'd go with the fist shot. To me, the area where your signature is, does not strike me as dead space. I feel like it adds to the depth of the overall image.

Very cool indeed.
I'm surprised they need such big eyes to hunt something the size of a horse.:-)
