The water in the lake was nearly calm so the reflection was great.

Thanks Mike. appreciate it.

As far as the Sony, I'm pretty pleased I did have concerns but after some more controlled testing it turns out to be operator error. 42 mp of resolution and 100mm less reach means I have to learn to shoot this equipment a bit differently than I was shooting the Canon equip. In case you didn't see this post. https://photography-on-the.net …showthread.php?p=18644070 In a period of less than 2 years I have dropped 200mm of reach. I wanted the high resolution over what the A9 gives. MedicineMan is the real answer man on this equipment though. I know he shoots the A9. New friend that I met shooting whooping cranes this past January. He called the other day to let me know the place I bought had dropped the price $200 (500 on A9) and it was within 30 of my purchase so I called and they refunded me the difference.

I have used Canon lenses with the MC-11 with decent success but nothing of length. I am reading a book from Friedman's Archives right now and he praises the MC-11 in his section about adapters. I still have my 7DmkII and I'm thinking of buying a Tamron 150-600 again for it but trying it on the Sony as well. Not in a rush to do it since I haven't totally decided to keep the last Canon item I have.

I'm still adjusting to the full frame on the Canon side. It does change things a bit. I've been going in wrong direction for "reach"... the 7D2 to the 1D IV.. and now the 1DX2.
