So drawing a smiley face on the belly is a no no? -?

As a photographer, it is important to be caring and understanding of your subjects needs and feelings. Since you've never done this before, here are some common useful tips to help make things go smoothly.

- Keep things lite and humorous. It helps to jokingly use terms like "Pregnasourus Rex" or "Big as house".

- Comment often on her "color", or "glow" and of course her girth, and the size of her feet.

- Show interest in her pregnancy by pressing your ear to her belly, usually doing this without asking is best for the "pleasant surprise" factor. Ask her about morning sickness, and mucus plugs.

- Pack pickles, ice cream, and banana & peanut butter sandwiches to offer if she needs to stuff her face.

I'm sure the forum will have more experienced members that will offer some tips as well.

Decided to have some fun this past weekend. Cherries and small firecrackers, a play on the 'cherry bomb'

The goal was to set up the lights and shoot the same night, however it took me a few hours to get the lights right. I used 5 Einsteins and a camera axe to get the look. I started again on Saturday night and it sounded like someone was shooting a gun in my garage, so had to only shoot a handful of cherries. Anyway I am happy with the results! You can see the progression of me understanding the settings for the timing.

I shot this last night with my youngest daughter. Was suppose to be four strobes but only ended up with three as the fourth was being temperamental. Underwater stuff is where my Mark IV spends 99% of its time...

Another low-res image from last night...we didn't realize until half way through that Ashley's dress had a material that acted as a bubble wand...we decided to keep the shots as all the little bubbles gave it an organic look...we both come to the surface and are trying to figure out where all the bubbles are coming from...then we realize and have a good laugh...
