yah. that's the main purpose of ETTR. If you brighten up images in any raw editing software, it will only reveal more noise. if you reduce exposure in post, it will hide the noise. so the trick is, never underexpose. even if you have to use the ISO.

Please excuse me for posting non-sony. this one was from my Canon SL1. Shot handheld at ISO 12800 under the Hoover Dam

This was like 3 stops overexposed in-camera

I do quite the opposite, I tend to expose more for the highlights in an image, and lift shadows, they seem much more tolerant and recoverable for me than highlights...

My wife asked me to take some footage of her flowers, and since it's been ages since I put together a video, I made her a little clip to show to her family members ;-)a

Charlie please tell your wife that she's has a beautiful garden. You can see the appreciation and hard work involved in creating such a cute flower garden.

Charlie the first part of the video has an awesome effect!!

Also, did you get that rok 35 last week? Thoughts?

Thanks, rolling dolly effect.

You can even do it on a cell phone, most of the footage is from my iPhone 8, but the intro clip has to stand out and done with the R3 + 12-24

that's why you use the zebra and fred did the experiment for us how much we can expose to the right with our sensor. whatever works for you though. Me i've been using it since my Canon days.

Just another waterfall by the side of the road...

Urridafoss, Iceland.

Both of these were shot with the FE 24-105.
