A night last week in The Martinselkonen Wilds Centre (external link) in Finland was both thrilling and lovable. This was one of the sweet moments when a cub of the brown bear played with its mother. All bears are free and wild in this location.

Thanks Jeff and Levina. It was truly an exceptional night with more than 20 bears visible at the same time at best.

Hi Olli,

Great shot! My wife says that is adorable! This place is very different from our own stamping grounds and I would enjoy an opportunity to go into that part of the world sometime.

BTW, we are doing essentially a reverse of last year's Bots trip in September, this time starting out in Tuli for 5 nights. This is a self-catering lodge and is inclusive of day and night drives (with spotlights). I know that this would be something that you would like to do too.

Regards,

Bill K

Great to hear about you Bill! Finland is surely different compared to the southern Africa scenes and wildlife. Both are great.

Envy you! Yu'll drive from Tuli to Ogavango? It's a long drive, but you have used to those. One day I might join you again (at least in my dreams ...).
