The Sac. refuge is my favorite spot too. Most of my decent pheasant shots come from there. I even got a great close up of a Bald Eagle there a few years back. I've never seen another bald eagle there since.

Several were there this year. I have better luck on the weekdays when it is not so crowded.

So on the last Greenie shot that I posted, I tried out Topaz Denoise for the first time. I think I have some learning to do with the software, but I really like the ease of use with it.

Today, tried out DPP and the DLO, as I've read that it provides a pretty significant bump in detail (and other stuff), especially when performed on images made with teles + TCs. In this case, I was using the 500 + 2.0xIII.

Overall, I think I like the DPP processed image, as it just seems a little more natural and pleasing to the eye, though it definitely was influenced by the PP I did previously in LR + Topaz.

I managed to get some static shots of some closer friends who dropped by - (well actually it was a gull free for all) and tested the new lens at the same time.

Its not the FX lens verion its the DX f6.3 model Im waiting for an update on here for my lens.

And this guy wanted the roof space and told a grey head where to go - while an old timer just looked on.
