I noticed a small price dip near $1200.

Think I made a mistake selling my Canon 135mm to scale-back. 135mm is something I will acquire again soon. This lens appears to be very good, and I'm reviewing it. The Sigma's weather sealing is a nice addition, but I shoot under a small umbrella anyway to avoid mist going inside my lens hood. The price is higher for new and used. One big draw of Canon's has been the relatively light weight, and Sigma again beefed up the weight. I'd say the image quality of the Sigma is very close to the quality I'd enjoy. From my own files, I felt f/2 may be too big an aperture for enough detail. A lot of the images in the thread are too small to tell from the entire image. Aside from weight, Sigma seemed to cover all the bases nicely from what I can see. But I'm itching to see if Canon releases a new 135mm with IS. And it's old 135mm is still legendary. Some even deem it too sharp the way it is.

It's almost tempting just to get the Sigma 135mm to try a Sigma again. I had a Sigma 85mm before the Art series and that 85mm worked very good for me.
