My newest 'gadget', a Technivorm Moccamaster coffee brewer.

Thing of beauty. I’m not a coffee drinker, but I love the smell. Congrats! :)

I have been on the annual family vacation at the beach...the weather has not cooperated much for sunrise and sunset or Milky Way this year...but I kept the a9 out tonight, I had been shooting shore birds...some nice color and reflections...I have not used the a9 much for landscape work, it holds up well...

Only thing I do NOT like is the left dial on top.
So much easier for me to change that stuff with the Fn button, so I just keep it in one mode and that is balls to the wall.

you know, that is funny....I love that dial...it opens up the function buttons to other things...which means it is setup very different from the r2..which is tricky...and truth be told, I have not truly figured out bracket shooting with the a9...but I never use that with it...

I'm getting more and more RE work. i've done 2 this week and one more on monday and another one on tuesday. I'm contemplating trading or selling my FE35F1.4 for the 16-35F4. I don't use the F1.4 too often since i'm shooting portrait outdoor. A lot of space to backup usually. hard to let go though. it's really amazing at F1.4 when you use it.

16-35/4 was my workhorse when I was doing an occasional RE gig

Great shot! Looks like you are enjoying your trip around the circle.

I enjoyed it so much I am going back in September :)

Last trip was with the wife and her family, so my range was limited to what was driveable 4-5 hours of Reykjavik. And even that was plenty.
In Sept. I am going solo. So I'll be driving the entire circle for a week. :)

Sony A7RII and a bunch of lenses.

i have the laowa 15mm F2 but it's too wide. also sometimes i wanna shoot kitchen details and the 35mm end helps. I don't wanna be changing lens in the shoot.

16-35mm would be great for RE. Alfredo’s doing amazing work with his 16-35mm GM. makes me want one. :)

You guys are making money, I'll not argue. But for the snapshooter landscaper (me) I'll not part with the Laowa 15/2. Few
lenses can do what it does for its size/weight.

And I enjoy my Laowa 15 f4 macro lens for its unique macro POV.

the F2.8 doubles as astro lens but i can't afford it. with RE you will be at F8 most of the time anyway.
