I can see this feature being attractive to new flash photogs that don't realize how to do it themselves. I mean, there are people that shoot in green box. I can't really say for sure that I would not have been a customer at one point.

On another note, maybe I was just unlucky, but I decided to go the generic route with a YN flash. Thing croaked after 110 shots, never to awake from its slumber again and rigor mortis set in. Tossed it right in the round file. Garbage.

Good point, and we must remember the flash fires two fractional power shots in order to set itself, it addition to the real shot. And when we shift camera angle/position (beyond Portrait/Landscape rotation changes) we need to do it again.

Still... isnt this basically the cost of two 430EXs?

Im terrible with flash (especially bounce) so theres part of me that likes it but i feel its just too high.. should have been down the sub $300 level for entry level people

What happens when the subject is wearing a wide-brimmed hat?

Ive been experimenting with "Sports" and "Landscape" now and then, expanding my horizons...

This seems to me like a solution looking for a problem
