I've wanted an ultrasonic cleaner for some time now and finally got around to ordering one. Here's a quick before and after on an old folding knife, nail file, and screwdriver/bottle opener combo of mine. I hope it's apparent that after the ultrasonic cleaning, the tool looks much cleaner now.

The cleaner will come in handy for some of the small items I like to photograph using my macro lens.

Yep, big difference.

How would a wipe with a kleenex have compared?

That would probably take care of some of the dirt but not in crevices, corners and edges where it's difficult to get a kleenex or cotton swab close enough.

I probably should have found a better object for this comparison.
