The sig is FREAKING INSANE!

Unfortunately, I forgot to save the full sized version of the leg band to show what my sig looked like on it. By the time I shrunk down the copy for the hummer's leg, it was too small to read.

Oh well, it's the thought that counts in this case. :-)

Change of opion-Tamron AF FE 28-75mm, this after firmware update.
AF is snappy on the Riii (can't check the a9, it's en route back from Precision).
Firmware update went smoothly.
I switched back to Balanced Emphasis.

Now something even neater. I can put the non-gripped Riii + 70-300G with the Tam 28-75mm under it
all in a Peak Design 5L sling bag.

For those not wanting to shell GM prices for this focal range I now think this is a great option.

Albert Dros had a nice blog post about the Tamron zoom. He recommends adding one to the kit for landscape shooters. I'm considering getting one or the FE 24-105.

I've been reading a few FE24-105 threads recently and I have read a bit of disappointment of it...... I think I'd prefer to buy it new (preferably local shop) if I did....!

Nope I wouldn't. Remember I'd add the Tam but not loose those primes!

Experimenting with the Peak Designs 5L sling bag.
I can squeeze but barely the A7Riii+70-300G in it.
But without grip I can put the A7Riii+70-300G in it WITH
the Tam 28-75 AND AND AND I think when it gets here I can
put the Samyang 24/2.8 in there as well.
Talk about a concise kit :)

So today's bierd shot via the 70-300G, enjoying the huge cropability of
the Riii.

I know I know but but but......

Sell CV10 $800 FE28 $300 FE 55 $500 FE90 600 = $2200

Buy 12-24 $1600 and 28-75 $800 = $2400

$200 bucks and I end up with a much simpler

A9 A7r2
FE 12-24 / Loxia 21 / Tam 28-75 / 100-400GM

I still have the legacy macro lens (Viv series 1 2.5) which is stellar and the Canon FD 55 1.4 which is fun. And I am all auto focus except for the Lox which I can slam to the right and nail anything 5' out and beyond.

Hmmmmmmmmmmm

Taking a break from Iceland pics. This is from my backyard. This little guy pretty much lives here and is around every day, all day.

I have no CV lenses so can't quite grip that in my mind in how it fits in but I do understand the FE 12-24. Now if you had or would consider the FE 24-105 (yes to me even more amazing for IQ/quality than even the 12-24) I could see a really concise kit. You already have the 100-400; think 12-24, 24-105, 100-400 and everything is covered! Well except macro :(

Now seen enough the Laowa 10-18 will be here. I was thinking December for Fred says maybe September, me reading between the lines.....now that will complicate things a lot!
