Night hike on the AT hoping for clear skies and a Milky Way attempt. Semi-skunked. Got the the top of the bald, found the rock formation but by the time the core was rising we couldn't see 50 feet in front of us....serious fog bank/cloud rolled in.
Hiked back out and began the two hour drive home. Took a detour into Greyson Highlands State Park and woohoo the sky cleared for 45 minutes! No neat foreground objects to be had but an opportunity nonetheless.

5 images stack in PScc. No noise reduction.

Out early protecting "his" feeder.

When I transferred my images to the computer, I discovered that somehow my files were set to jpg instead of raw. I don't remember ever doing that! -? Fortunately, I was still able to open up the shadows sufficiently.

I found a 12 pack this morning. I recommend it if you haven't tried it yet. It's a limited edition and is based on a recipe from George Washington.

Gene I wish. But each bottle has a loaf of bread in it and I eat keto.
So enjoy one (or 4) thinking of me.

You need a youtube series on sig creation.

I was out scouting locations for an upcoming car shoot for a restored Alfa Romeo...I thought this restored old filling station would be cool...test shots with my car show that it has too many odd highlights on the car...but I still liked the picture.

I wish I could take credit for planning that...but I did take several shots hoping he'd turn his head into the sunlight for me.

Here's one where he hadn't...and an even tighter "bullseye". These are unedited except for cropping and resizing.

Yes, the beer will steady your hand...or at least make you think it's steadier. :-)

I wonder if it would help shooting at a different time of day, say at sunset or thereabouts?

A really interesting structure though and goes well with any car I would think.

I am sure that shooting in the morning would be better, but I suspect there would still be a lot of reflections that get distracting. It was a cool spot for a shot like this, but the shoot I have coming up really needs to focus on the car, and this had too much going on for my eye, and it took away a little...
