Sandpiper - either Western, or Semipalmated - I can't tell which. There was a large bunch of them and this is only one of several shots I got that I am happy with. In my waiting, they got quite comfortable with me there and a couple of them ended up coming closer than my lens would allow.

Out early protecting "his" feeder.

When I transferred my images to the computer, I discovered that somehow my files were set to jpg instead of raw. I don't remember ever doing that! -? Fortunately, I was still able to open up the shadows sufficiently.
