Bird was no more than 3 inches long. I feel it is a juvenile of some kind. I was in the backyard feeding the haws and this little one landed 6 feet away and begged for a portrait. That bill is too long for Semipalmated and those strongly rufous tones also favour Western. (Semipalmated is always a rather greyer bird, even when showing some rufous.)
