Jeff, the jay and the mourning dove are both outstanding.
Don't ever consider going to a mirror-less camera!! Nothing can beat the shots you get with your 7D mark II. I sure do love mine.

Although the Yellowhammer is a RSPB Red listed bird in the UK, there has been an abundance of them in my area lately I'm pleased to say.

These two are beauties. I love the composition, especially on the first shot. All the birds you've posed on this thread are so nicely done I commend you.

It's surprising what you may see in your local graveyard. I often walk around in the one nearest to me with a pair of binoculars, it happens to be unkept and overgrown and entices many birds. I noticed that 2 different Green Woodpecker's would visit the same 2 headstones every time I visited. Although feeling uneasy about walking into the graveyard with a big lens I was certain where to go to get the shots I wanted. Believe it or not I was in and out within 5 minutes and managed to get some great photos.

Very nice shot Rob. You got your camera right down there with the ducklings.

Thanks for the comment. It is fun having them in our yard.

wildlife at home is as good as it gets for us guys. Although the pesky bear and her cubs in the middle of the night are a nuisance.

Thanks Mike, I sure have loved mine as well.. It is an amazing camera for the most part. From here I don't know what a guy would buy for a new camera. I know what I want !! but canon doesn't build it yet.. Maybe never will.

Maybe the rumors are accurate and the 7D3 will be the body for you..... 1DX2 AF in a 1.6 crop. I'm sure they'll have to cripple it somehow so it doesn't take away from their high end D body.... but who knows?

BTW, great jay photo.... as always.
