That's unreal Jeff. The 1.4 TC III doesn't slow you down a bit as far as image quality is concerned. You are basically shooting with a 900 mm lens. I don't use mine all that much because for BIF shots, it does focus slower. For static shots, it's the real deal for sure.

Kev, your tags for this pic suggest you took this shot in Queensland, is this correct?

If it is you should put a submission to BARC as this would be a very, very, very rare sighting, most likely the first.

I prefer to be in the bush with the animals than a crowded city.

Maybe the rumors are accurate and the 7D3 will be the body for you..... 1DX2 AF in a 1.6 crop. I'm sure they'll have to cripple it somehow so it doesn't take away from their high end D body.... but who knows?

How about a..... 1Wx...... wildlife 1Dx with a crop and 28meg sensor in Mossy Oak camo.
