Gotta love the effort! I think we've all had "that" shot we've either missed or nailed after a short run (and realizing how out of shape one actually is!!)

yes, just had this experience on Tuesday...then realized I had a better angle before I ran....

Terrible Tilly, Tillamook Rock Lighthouse, Oregon Coast. Completed in 1881, the light was turned off in 1957. Tillamook Rock Lighthouse was sold to a series of investors over the years, and recently, served as the Eternity at Sea Columbarium. She is now part of the Oregon Islands National Wildlife Refuge, and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Over one mile offshore, during winter storms waves crash over the top, which is 135 feet above the sea.

Here's a perspective further south if you want some kind of foreground objects to work with. Park at the N. lot at Ecola, then hike south on the beach...

Yeah next month you'll get many opportunities for the sun to set behind the lighthouse

Thanks man! It's an old one back when I was chasing landscapes, now I enjoy chasing birds instead
