We are heading for Seattle on Thursday. Can't wait to get back to Alaska! My kit this time around:

Canon 5D4 - 24-105 + 100-400 w/ 2x converter (rented)
Sony - Loxia 21mm, Zeiss 35mm, FE 50mm w/ MC-11

No excursions booked yet. Probably not going to do anything crazy. I'd like to do the White Pass train mentioned in this thread. Plenty to see and do any which way we go. Excited to come back and share.

We did the White Pass train when we were there. Great views, I stood outside between the train cars. My wife is terrified of steep cliffs. She spent most of the ride staring at the rock wall. We're going back at the end of this month to do the Denali land tour then southbound cruise trip. We did not book the White Pass train this time. We're going a couple of days ahead of the trip to visit my wife's college roommate in Fairbanks. Anyone have suggestions for Fairbanks?

Hurricane Sandy Cruise

Quite the adventure! Would you cruise again after this experience?

It's my life and I'll get pissed if I want to.

We have been on 2 cruises since this one with Hurricane Sandy, and we also plan on going on another next spring. LOL What are the chances of being on a cruise ship with a hurricane again??......... Oh wait, this was our second cruise with a hurricane . We were on the Disney Magic in 2008 when Hurricane Ormar was around. It was the same Captain both times. The only difference was that in 2008 ( Omar ) the Captain sailed away from the hurricane, in 2012 ( Sandy ) the Captain sailed straight for her and came within 100 miles of the eye.

Thanks for the reply. You must REALLY enjoy them.
Should I ever decide to take a cruise, I'll check with you first to make sure we're not on the same one! lol.

Sorry for the OT and please don't take this personally: I think cruises shouldn't be allowed in Venice. Huge ships in that canal aren't rally helping to save the most beautiful city in the world

We had an amazing trip in Alaska. Way too many shots though. I'm working my way through. I'm down to 230 from 1600 but it's getting harder and harder to unflag more images.

Yes it was Tracy Arm Fjord. We were in Endicott Arm. There had just been a big event a week before where a large chunk of the face had collapsed. There were massive icebergs. Hubbard Glacier was far bigger, but I thought the scenery was better in Tracy Arm.

Dubrovnik, Croatia ...

Wow, so much going on there! Wonderfully captured! My new Windows background for the week. Thanks!
If there's an animal looking at you, you could just about post this one in every thread I follow. lol.
Quite seriously, the more I look at this image, the more I want a poster of it for my office. Mind you, I've not printed a 13x19 yet, and I don't have ANY pictures on my office wall.
