He's just chipping his little heart out, Matt. Really nice shot.

Those are beautiful shots Chris, but the close-up of the owl takes the cake for me!! From the bottom picture, I can see that this little guy is in some hot water with all those crows. :-(

Both the white peacock and the close-up of the head, on the regular peacock, are really nice.

I was at max range yesterday trying to photograph the Yellow-breasted Chats, and happened to capture a few other species while waiting. This is hand held @ 1000mm on my 80D, so effectively a 1600mm FOV.

I'm not too keen on the results my 500 produces using the 1.4xIII, but I'm really surprised by what I'm getting with the 2xIII. Much more detailed than the 1.4 it seems. Can a TC get out of calibration like a lens, and need a trip to Canon?

Really nice shot...! Are you aware, that micro adjustment should be done separately for each combination of lens and TC...?

Indeed I am, sir. In fact, went out this afternoon and rechecked my settings. And I took Jeff's advice and pencil erased the contacts. Seems to be ok now, the text on the empty sport drink bottle that some kid left laying around outside was nice and sharp

Go Figger.... lol :p

Making hay while the sun shines... yes hairys again sorry..

This male on the left yells at the top of his lungs if theres no seed out there for them. This morning he actually landed on my hand as I took the seed out for them. Normally he will fly around me in circles... or land at my feet three or four feet away.

Excellent shot, Jeff. I got a kick out of your story about feeding the hairys.
