My next home is definitely going to have a deck that backs up to a forest on a remote countryside patch of land. Having tennis courts and a playground in a suburban neighborhood is great for families, but not birds.

I figured that, when I looked at your EXIF data. That's gotta be one of Canon's best lenses, at least for me it is. I use it more than any other.

Go Figger.... lol :p

Making hay while the sun shines... yes hairys again sorry..

This male on the left yells at the top of his lungs if theres no seed out there for them. This morning he actually landed on my hand as I took the seed out for them. Normally he will fly around me in circles... or land at my feet three or four feet away.

Love the shot Jeff.

In the gear department.. I have very little compared to most. One thing is for sure.. you’ll find the 100-400mm on about any camera I have in my hand. If the light is good most likely the 1.4III. But come the darkest days of winter I would really appreciate something f4 and 400mm long

Both the white peacock and the close-up of the head, on the regular peacock, are really nice.

Thank you.

Those are beautiful shots Chris, but the close-up of the owl takes the cake for me!! From the bottom picture, I can see that this little guy is in some hot water with all those crows. :-(

Thanks man! first real owl shot close enough + good light, now just need a more interesting backround. Luckily it seems like they are venturing out further each evening into areas that are likely to increase the odds of better shots I've wanted.

Thanks for all the compliments and good vibes; Makes these forums a lot better compared to others!
