What I can say is that Jay wasn't crazy about so much emphasis on gear. . I feel the same way.]

That's strange because one does not have to discuss gear at all here. Photo sharing and discussion forums do not force gear talk and you do not have to even view gear-specific forums. Still, everyone is entitled to his opinion.

BTW: Photography and gear can not be separated, simply because taking digital photos is not possible without cameras and lenses, camera settings, computers and storage media.

I agree, Pekka. . You have created a really good environment here, and there are many places to talk about light, composition, subject matter, finding new image-making opportunities, etc.

One of the best places for this type of discussion in in the Critique Corner. . If one wants to escape gear-centric conversation for a while, that's a great sub-forum to visit.

"Your" and "you're" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"They're", "their", and "there" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"Fare" and "fair" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one. The proper expression is "moot point", NOT "mute point".

Thanks for the tip on the OP; that is some OUTSTANDING work! Also, thank you for the info about Jay...I'd been wondering about him, specifically, recently.

This is a good article / photos about “THE MASSIVE 21-PLANE FORMATION OF EVERY AMERICAN MILITARY JET DEMO TEAM” shot by Glenn Watson.
