Ouch! Sounds like you were able to save the camera/lens at the expense of a bruise! I recently endured a nice bee sting chasing owls, was worth it though! More bees nests out there this time of year!

this was a glorious evening. The sky was alive and the light danced and changed with the drift of the clouds.

I like this. The jetty draws you into the scene. I can easily anticipate what one would experience sitting on the edge watching the sunset evolve.
It sure looks calm water
