some awesome photos on here, the lens looks as good as an L or at least close. Following because i need to get a cheap lens that is at least an F2.8. I had some financial issues and had to sell my 50L and 24-70L and you can see what i have left so I need something to fill that gap, still light on for cash so this lens looks a good one

Definitely wouldn't go so far as putting it in L territory, but it's firmly in the middle of 50 f/1.8 and an L in terms of build quality and performance. A few samples from the last few months:
