I've had mine for a exactly two years but I haven't used MF often. I've read online others also experienced a stiff focus ring or rotation of ring stutters a bit.

I also got my MC-11 and will be posting my first from my A7III and the 150-600 soon.. but I have to say im not too sure how ive felt on the combination... the focus isnt 100% on it and it has a nasty tendency to grab at backgrounds versus the birds im trying to nail, im still working with it at the moment and i think ive figured out a few tricks (somewhat manually working the lens CLOSE to the focus point for example) but overall the experience hasnt been as good as shooting on my 7D Mark II or with native Sony glass..the results from the rear screen however are breathtaking...

hello to all!
I'm searching for a solution to carry the 6d+ sigma 150-600 for walking (trekking) attaching them to the chest, for quick foto shooting.
I saw LowePro aw 75 II; maybe it could be good for me, also if i cannot close the bag.
Instead, i have seen the ThinkTank Holster 50, but I don't know if I can attach it to my chest.
The third option is a chinese double camera shoulder

I have a Movo vest like the one you posted a photo of, I use it at air shows with my 7D mark II / 150-600mm and a smaller camera on the side for static displays. It is not perfect but it works well enough for me.

If you mean the one with the Sigma 150-600mm, I used a tripod and and manual focus.

ok ok.... i'm trying to get a more accurate moon picture, using multiple shots. But I still have no results (also i use a tripod). The moon (earth) moves very quickly at 600mm!

I use live view and zoom in to focus, you can get the focus right even if you don’t have all of the moon in the frame, then just make small framing adjustments to get your shot. I shot another moon photo with a telescope at 945mm with just a plain old tripod also.

I really wish the focus ring wasn't so stiff on this lens. It makes fine tuning using manual focus very difficult. Had a hard time trying to manually focus on saturn. One POTN member had suggested to me putting a zip tie around the focus ring to help relieve some of the stiffness issue, although I have not tried that yet. Any other suggestions on this issue? I'm just surprised Sigma would release this lens with a very stiff ring that sticks or stutters too much while trying to manually focus.

I think the problem with the manual focus ring - or at least this is what happens with me - is that due to a lack of a thrid arm and hand, I support the weight of the lens via the focus ring if doing MF hand-held. This causes the ring to distort enough to create friction between it and the lens body, making manual focus adjustments stiff and jerky. If the weight of the lens is supported on a monopod or such-like, then the focus ring turns smoothly if lightly gripped.
I have tried to work out a contortionist grip on the lens so I can support the weight via the lens body and turn the focus ring with a finger or thumb, but it doesn't lend itself to great stability or reasurance that I'm not going to drop it!

Even while on a trippd, or in my case, on a gimbal, gripping & rotating the smal/narrowl focus ring causes so much bounce on the lens it makes it difficult to do a fine focus at 10x in Live View. The moon isnt hard to focus on, but I was trying to focus on Saturn's rings. I posted that pic in the Astrophotography forum.

I know this is the 150-600mm thread but I thought I would chime in and offer my solution to your dilemma. I too had an issue with getting good focus, I was using the Sigma 50-500mm for this pic......I attached a 24" monitor to my 70D and was able to REALLY see what I was doing! Give it a try :)
