Until today it's been so dry over here, with the ground baked so hard, that I'm surprised the thrush managed to find any worms at all - but it might explain why it was working so hard.

I drove right by this guy this morning, but luckily he stayed put when I circled back. Sitting on a fence beside the road at Point Reyes National Seashore.
