Great candid shots Phil...all of them. I'm thinking that bike seat has gotta hurt after riding for awhile. :p

This just goes to show how narrow the gap is between a nothing shot and an everything shot.

Not 100% sure what makes this firmly one of the latter. A combination of many things... the slightly rising angle of the line that leads the eye, the almost perfect spacing between the men and the fact that they are all looking towards you (or looking somewhere) rather than just looking at their phones. Also love the sitting lady passenger who perfectly breaks the line/catches your eye, before it moves on (she is the lone blue umbrella in the line of yellow ones). The more I look at it the more I hear the voice over intro for a Reservoir Dogs/Usual Suspects style caper movie.

Personally I would have cropped off 1.5 tile widths from the left (the guy with his back to us). He detracts slightly and makes that end on the image messy by overlapping people.

Thank you very much for your constructive critique, much appreciated.

Here is the crop you suggested.

Another thing: the variation in leg placement. If all the men were standing with their weight centered, like a row of clothespins stood on end, it'd be boring. Instead, most are leaning to one side or are otherwise asymmetrical. This variety is enhanced by their having dark pants that (mostly) show against the background.
