Put this lens to work at the Rocky Mountain Air & Ground Festival. Happy with the focus results while dragging the shutter.
T-6 fly by. If you look close is appears the back seat person is doing some photo or video.

I really wish the focus ring wasn't so stiff on this lens. It makes fine tuning using manual focus very difficult. Had a hard time trying to manually focus on saturn. One POTN member had suggested to me putting a zip tie around the focus ring to help relieve some of the stiffness issue, although I have not tried that yet. Any other suggestions on this issue? I'm just surprised Sigma would release this lens with a very stiff ring that sticks or stutters too much while trying to manually focus.
I am on my second lens and both of mine have been smooth, I have an extended foot plate and can hold the lens in my left palm and focus quite easily with thumb and forefinger. One from yesterday with not ideal conditionsIMAGE LINK: https://flic.kr/p/28JWnnV

Thank you, Mike. The close up is a 100% crop of another frame, showing the resolving capability of this camera/lens combination.
