Oh WOW!! That Mosquito / Spitfire shot is truly awesome!
Would be on my wall if I ever had a shot like that.

Used the camera for my daughter's 1 month photos. Not too much action to capture, but the sensor output is really nice:

Quick question to you guys, I wanted to take a pic of some blueberry this morning with my brand new EF 100L macro but the AF was struggling.
It won't auto focus unless I pre-focus by hand.
I took my 7D with EF-S 60 macro and it wasn't doing that. Put the 100L on the 7D and no issue either.
Obviously I can't put the 60mm on the 1D, but maybe I messed up something in the settings that made the 100L not AF.
It's not the distance switch as it's set on AF and full range and working on the 7D.

On the 1D AF settings, single shot is set to AF priority and not speed.
I find it odd that it just won't try like going back and forth.
Any ideas?

they are stunning but I like this one best.
As a kid they were my favourites with both in model form.
What a privilege to see them in action. Thanks for posting

There is a setting in the AF menu about what it should do when AF not possible. Maybe it is set at do nothing? You can take a look at that.

Succes,
Rene.

It was exactly that. Derp me.
I just didn't saw it when I had my camera set in my native language, in English I saw it right away and it was set to off. Now with on and working fine.
Weird that none of the other lenses needed that to focus.

The remarkable 1Dx2 sensor

Shoot for the highlights and pull in post

This really came in handy at 3PM on the ocean yesterday- all we did was meter her face so it would not blow and recover shadows in post processing

I can state w/o hesitation, you can't do this with the 1Dx1 and 5D3 files- I owned both. Huge penalty of you tried this

This is what make the jump to the new sensors a worthwhile Investment in my opinion

Mike, the EXIF says 5D4. Do your comments apply to the 5D4 as well, or did you post the wrong images?

If I don't get the shots I want with the gear I have, the only optics I need to examine is the mirror on the bathroom wall. The root cause will be there.

I finally got a 135 f2, and this is one of the first images. The lighting in the garage made the top of the fuel tank interesting to my eye.
