Trigger Plant - Stylidium graminifolium

Tasmanian Native

Edit: these are intriguing plants and as requested add more detail. Not all my words.
Trigger plant is characterised by an asymmetrical fused corolla and the presence of two stamens fused to the style to form a column.
This column, upon irritation, moves across to trap (brand them with pollen) insects as part of a pollination strategy.

Basically when an insect alights to collect the nectar the little 'prong' in the centre flies out, hits the insect and puts pollen on the insect who takes it onto the next Trigger Plant.
My daughter used to (still does) love teasing the poor things with a small frond.

Size wise these plants are about 35 to 45cm, 14 to18" tall, occasionally less or more.
The flower shown would be about 8 to 11 mm, ⅜" to ½" across.

They vary in intensity of colour from lightish to deep pinky purple tinges.
